Sadness
I am filled with emptiness;
a little sorrow and distress;
confusion is the king today;
it makes the heart
and mind to stray...
A little love is what I need;
to ease the pain
my troubles breed;
you see within
my eyes the strain,
and wonder if I'm really sane...
A hope for peace,
where none is found;
and tears to fall
on hallowed ground;
where trust renews
a broken vow;
to live beyond
the here and now...
Softly spoken words do say;
that this is surely not my day!...
